On the afternoon of Saturday (30), the pilgrim image of Our Lady Aparecida arrived in Campo Maior. With great joy and devotion, hundreds of Catholics waited for the arrival of the image of Brazil in Padoreira Road Square. At exactly 17:00, Lisardo priest came and gave the image in the hands of the diocesan administrator of Campo Maior, Father Raimundo Duarte.
Upon arrival, the faithful went in procession to the St. Anthony Cathedral to attend a Eucharistic celebration, with the presence of Campomaiorense Catholic community. The Campo Maior Matrix was packed.
Early on Sunday (01), labor day, during the Mass of 8h30h, children who are part of the catechesis of the Holy Parish Antonio crowned the image of Our Lady Aparecida and were devoted to her. At 17:30 today the image will arrive in Castelo do Piauí, in the Parish of Our Lady of Exile, and then immediately: Mass and Catholic show with singer Adriana Melo.
The pilgrim image is touring throughout Brazil that is approaching the Jubilee of the 300th anniversary of the apparition of the image of Our Lady, which will take place in October 2017, and because of the 40 years of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Campo Maior, which will be celebrated on June 12, during the Holy Feasts of Antonio. She will visit all the parishes and pastoral areas which make up the particular Church of Campo Maior.
